This is a back-dated entry. Actually being added on 3/20/08 but I want to keep entries in sequence - I skipped a few earlier.
The ability to back date or pre-date must be useful for active bloggers because they can begin work on an entry before they have all their info. Then when they are ready to post it can go through the final edit and be posted.
I think we should have a statewide "Ask A Librarian" IM or text service for K-12 students. School media specialists could take a shift or two every month or so. At least 7 years ago I participated in an email "ask a librarian". I don't remember what it was named, but it was coordinated by Blythe Bennett.
With the advent of online high schools, this would be a way to also show the value of libraries and librarians since most of them do not have such services.
Twitter - I have read a couple blog entries in the last month about how this is really starting to take off as a technology. Have seen entries about the expected use of Twitter at tne national party conventions. People can Twitter about the activities in their area of the convention hall - news will travel fast.
